Luke Stannard
Pastor

During Luke’s early teenage years, God worked in his heart through the influence of his father to bring him to an understanding of his need for a Savior, the seriousness of his sin, and the difference between Christian faith and outwardly performing “Christian actions”. In 2010, he moved from the United States to Hungary to work with Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) and a few years later met his wife, Michelle, who was also working with Cru. In 2018, they welcomed Elijah into their family and a few years later he completed his doctorate in Theology (University of Aberdeen, Scotland), the Stannards transitioned to a new missions agency (Mission to the World), and they moved to Munich. Luke was called to be the pastor of MICC in 2022 and became ordained in the PCA in 2023. God has used the writings of John Calvin to greatly bless him and he has especially appreciated Calvin’s insights into the pre-incarnate appearances of Christ throughout the Old Testament.

Ryan Hoselton
Associate Pastor

Ryan grew up in Albuquerque in the U.S., and he rested faith in Christ at age 18 while studying the gospel of John. He served as a pastoral assistant during his undergrad at the University of New Mexico, and he pursued further training in theology at Southern Seminary (MDiv and ThM). He married Jaclyn in 2012 and they moved to Germany in 2014, where Ryan worked as a doctoral and postdoctoral researcher/instructor (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter) in church history at Universität Heidelberg from 2016-2023. In August 2023, the Lord led Ryan, Jaclyn, and their three children to Munich to join MICC. He thanks the Lord for his sweet family, good books, international foods, Bayern Munich, and the global community of Christ at MICC.

Harim Choi
Pastoral Intern

Harim joined MICC as a pastoral intern in September 2023. He is from South Korea, but grew up as a missionary kid in Senegal, West Africa. He was saved at a very young age and has had formative moments of faith in his late-teen years. He received a B.A. in Christian Ministries at Gordon College, and is now pursuing a ThM through Dallas Theological Seminary. He is happily married to Daniela and together they have a baby daughter Eliana.
